It ranks up there with the great issues of our time: Taylor Ham or Pork Roll? And Rutgers Rutgers football head coach Greg Schiano finally threw his considerable clout behind one of the choices.

New Jersey, despite its reputation and the bozos on MTV, is a really great state. Situated between two great, historic cities in New York and Philadelphia, the state is filled with Fortune 500 companies, beautiful shorelines and pristine forests and mountains.

Sure, we have an edge. And you betta believe it that if we are from New Jersey, we’ve got opinions on some of the great issues that affect our state:

  • Does Central Jersey even exist?  The answer is no, of course, it doesn’t. There is North, and there is South. That’s it.

  • Springsteen or Bon Jovi? C’mon, by every standard it is The Boss.

  • WaWa or 7-Eleven? Not even close, WaWa by a mile.
